Hanoi reaching to the top after thrashing Ho Chi Minh City
Truong Van Thai Quy shined brightly after coming off the bench to replace Quang Hai, making a great contribution to the victory of Hanoi over Ho Chi Minh City.
The 'super classic' match of Vietnamese football between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi FC was dramatic right from the first minutes. Despite travelling to Thong Nhat Stadium, the defending champion was not afraid, they put the squad up to attack in the first minutes and soon had an opportunity for Van Quyet.
However, HCMC Club paid back by attacking. In the 19th minute, Thanh Chung touched the ball in the penalty area but Hanoi FC's center-back closed his hands.
Before the end of the first half, Thanh Chung again caused controversy when Cong Phuong's shot hit Quang Hai's foot and hit the center-back’s hand. The referee in charge of the match didn’t give Ho Chi Minh City a penalty goal.
Entering the second half, the battle was still maintained like the first 45 minutes. Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem had a change of match when Thai Quy was put on the pitch to replace Quang Hai. Just a few minutes on the pitch, Thai Quy opened the score after a messy situation in the penalty area, but before that the Hanoi FC players had a very coordinated combination on the right wing.
Thai Quy continued to make fans burst with joy when launching a favorable assist for Van Xuan to raise the score to 2-0. This goal almost caused the competitive spirit of Ho Chi Minh City to decline seriously.
With nothing left to lose, Coach Chung Hae Seong instructed the players to put the squad up to attack. However, they could not get an honorary goal, even conceded the third goal, the one who scored this time was Rimario.
The match ended with a score of 0-3, once again coach Chung Hae Seong had to receive a defeat to coach Chu Dinh Nghiem. This victory helped Hanoi FC overcome Ho Chi Minh City in the rankings and close to the top.
