Chung Hae-seong claims some players ‘betrayed’ him
In an interview with Yonhap, coach Chung Hae-seong shared a lot of noticeable details after breaking up with the HCMC club.
Before the interview with Korean newspaper Yonhap, most people thought that coach Chung Hae-seong left Ho Chi Minh City because he actively resigned. But the story was reversed after that interview.
The HCM City Director board wants to put Mr. Chung in the position of Technical Director, leaving the coaching position to another person. In the end, Mr. Chung did not accept, so he quit his job. As revealed by Chung in the interview with Yonhap:
"Many people related to the team are dissatisfied with the decisions regarding the selection of players, an acquaintance told me the director of the team is not on my side anymore."
The selection of players are normaly evaluated by Chung Hae-seong. But Mr. Chung explained that there were senior staff members of the team who could not benefit from the transfer so they were dissatisfied with Mr. Chung, so a conflict arose.
"Some of the players favored by the Director made unreasonable mistakes in recent matches that caused the club to lose points, then I didn't feel abnormal but now that I think about it, the results of the match have been affected."
Chung Hae-seong’s resign has left a lot of regret for his players. Some players such as Xuan Nam, Hoang Thinh, Tung Quoc and Tien Dung have sent their wishes to the respectable coach.
