The J-League team spent over 1,8 million USD to buy off the Thai national player
Akira Nishino has not found out the best lineup for Thailand NT in the previous call-ups on Sept and Oct. However, according to the Thairath, the Japanese coach has figured out the best lineup after just three matches.
Earlier, Yokohama Marinos had negotiated with Muangthong United to bring the Thai player with a one-year loan contract.
During the last J.League 1 2019 season, Theerathon Bunmathan played extremely well and gradually became the number one choice on the left wing of the NHK Spring Mitsuzawa. Recently, in the Sakaguchi match, the 29-year-old defender also assisted accurately for striker Endo Keita to score the opening goal in the match.
The Yokohama Marinos leadership seemed very pleased with Theerathon Bunmathan's performance, and that is why this team wanted to buy him from Muangthong United.
According to the Siamsports, the J.League representative will offer an ammount of around 1,8 million USD for Muangthong United. If the deal is successful, Theerathon Bunmathan will be one of the most expensive deals in Thai football as well as Southeast Asia.
Theerathon Bunmathan received the trust of coach Akira Nishino in both two matches in the 2022 World Cup Qualifier. On November 15, Theerathon and his teammates will travel to My Dinh Stadium of the Vietnamese rival, the team that held them on Thammasat Stadium with a 0-0 draw on September 5.
