Hanoi FC captain Van Quyet denied a French club offer

Van Quyet shared with the media about the opportunity to return to the Vietnam national team, as well as his goals for Hanoi FC next season.
Hanoi FC will be absent from the Asia Cup in the 2020 season due to violations of AFC rules. Last season the Capital team made a splash when it reached the inter-regional final for the first time. As such, Hanoi FC will only participate in 3 arenas this year, including the V-League, the National Cup and the ASEAN Club Championship.
Captain Van Quyet said: "The biggest disadvantage when not attending the AFC Cup is affecting our image. However, not having to play many tournament is also a favorable factor for Hanoi FC to have better preparation in ACC and V-League.”
Van Quyet also expressed his wish that the players attempt to compete in the regional arena:
“Playing in the Southeast Asia Cup also affects the image of Vietnamese football, especially the players. This is a good tournament for players to assert their roles and positions. "
Talking about the opportunity to return to the national team, Van Quyet said: "As a professional player, playing for one of the strongest teams in Vietnam, I have to try to play to achieve good results, and the work of the national team is depend on the head coach.”
Although he excelled in Hanoi FC, Van Quyet was still not on the list of Vietnamese teams participating in the 2022 World Cup qualifier. Coach Park once explained that Hanoi FC captain was not suitable with the tactics he is building for the national team.
