VPF President: 'HAGL club suffers many disadvantages’
Mr. Tran Anh Tu , VPF Chairman said that HAGL is one of three teams that are greatly affected by the impact of Covid-19 epidemic.
After the first 2 rounds, V-League 2020 was forced to postpone due to unpredictable developments of the Covid-19 epidemic. As one of the decision makers, Tran Anh Tu (VPF Chairman) said that it is very necessary to ensure the safety of the players and the whole society.
This decision also received the agreement of all VPF Board members. Most clubs agreed and some clubs also finally agreed with this decision.
Mr. Tu shared that the postponement of the tournament or ban spectators clearly affects the activities of the clubs, especially those with abundant fans.
“The last two rounds have been played on the field without spectators, clubs like HAGL, Hanoi FC or Nam Dinh have a lot of financial disadvantages. Nam Dinh is a very special case when money from selling ticket is an important source of revenue for the club,” VPF President shared.
In the first two rounds of V-League 2020, HAGL and the teams are no longer playing under the enthusiastic support of the fans.
Having been suspended due to the Covid-19 epidemic, VPF also quickly set up plans to reorganize the V-League 2020 after the epidemic was contained. The principle is that the tournament schedule will not affect the call-up schedule of the national team in the future.
“The best solution is that the tournament will start again from the beginning of April. If it doesn't work, then it will drop back in mid-April or the end of May. Hopefully, by the end of this month, the infection will also decrease as sources of infection from foreign countries are limited,” said Tu.
