Van Lam faces huge risks when Thai League returns?
It is possible that the Thai League will have to play with a density of 3 matches a week and the players do not guarantee physical conditions to play at such intensity.
The Thai League is still unable to play due to the complexity of the Covid-19 epidemic in Thailand. Meanwhile, the terms of the contract with the sponsors caused the TrueVisions television channel who holds the copyright to broadcast Thai League 1 to put pressure on FAT to soon conduct the resolution on time.
FAT Chairman Somyot Poompunmuang has revealed it will find another partner to replace TrueVisions. As for TrueVisions, they are willing to negotiate to change the end of the Thai League and royalties will be reduced.
Specifically, Thai League changed the time frame when it lasted from September this year to May next year (coinciding with the frame of the European leagues). However, in the contract with TrueVisions, this unit wants to finish before the year 2020 ends. TrueVisions is ready to sit at the negotiating table with an offer to extend the end of the football season to December 31, 2020.
"We have to talk to the teams. If they are willing to play more games in a week then the tournament can be encapsulated in 2020. This decision depends on the clubs. The season can end if the teams. play 3 games in a week, " said Somyot.
Some owners of the teams said they were willing to negotiate because this affects the television royalties that the teams collected. Even Port FC president Nuanphan Lamsam said if the tournament had to end in December, his team would be ready for that.
If so, Van Lam and the players in the Thai League will have to play with terrible density. The teams will have less than 3 days to rest before entering the next match. This intensity will last for 4 months from September to December. Certainly the threat of injury will be visible to all players.
