Thailand summons the destroyer of Vietnam to attend the AFF Cup 2020?
Teeratep Winothai, one of Vietnam’s scare, is expected to attend the upcoming AFF Cup 2020 with Thailand.
As previously reported, Thai League 1 will return in September 2020 until May 2021. This means that, the Thai league will take place in parallel and at the same time with the AFF Cup 2020. Players will not be allowed to return to serve the national team without receiving the approval of their managing teams.
However, Thai League directing manager Benjamin Tan has stated that Thailand will still send a force strong enough to attend the AFF Cup 2020. However this is very difficult to verify, as the teams will not agree to release its best players to the national team.
Teeratep Winothai was once the destroyer of Vietnam
Recently, Siamsports has listed 5 strikers that can replace Teerasil Dangda, Supachok, or Supachai Jaided to shoulder the attack of Thailand Tel in the AFF Cup 2020. Of these, the most notable is probably the former talent of Thailand, Teeratep Winothai.
Teeratep was considered the destroyer of the Vietnamese team. He, along with Teerasil Dangda, always make the Vietnamese fans fear. He has won the SEA Games gold medal with the team 4 times from 2001-2007.
The most memorable match of this striker was probably the final of SEA Games 2005, when he scored a hat-trick to destroy Van Quyen and Cong Vinh with a score of 3-0. Vietnamese football has always ended its dream of getting to the top of the SEA Games after that game.
In addition to Teeratep Winothai, the other players appearing on this list include Surachat Sareepim (33), Chananan Pombuppha (28), Arthit Boodjinda (25), Akarawin Sawasdee (29). These are all unknown players and are still struggling to find a place at their club.
It is known that the AFF Cup 2020 will take place from November 23 to December 31, 2020. Currently Vietnam is the current champion of the tournament. Park Hang-seo and his teachers are determined to protect this achievement this year.
