Kyrgyzstan asked to reorganize the friendly with Vietnam NT ahead of World Cup 2022
After Iraq, Kyrgyzstan sent a letter to VFF expressing its desire to play friendly against the Vietnamese team in October.
The Vietnamese team planned a friendly match against Kyrgyzstan in March. This was a match to prepare for the 2022 World Cup qualifying series in Asia. However, the plan was failed through due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Recently, the Kyrgyz Football Federation sent a letter to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to ask to reorganize this match. The match is expected to take place on October 8, in case the global epidemic is under control.
Earlier, the Iraqi Football Federation also contacted the VFF to express its desire to reorganize the friendly match between Vietnam and Iraq. However, sharing with Thanh Nien, General Secretary Le Hoai Anh said: "Their side proposed the match time is 8 Oct. However, Vietnam has not been able to accept immediately because firstly, the Vietnamese Government only allows foreign experts to enter Vietnam, not allowing expansion of entry cases.
The prevention of Covid-19 in Vietnam is extremely good, but the Government of Vietnam still requires people and agencies to strictly comply with the regulations on disease prevention. Therefore, VFF also needs to comply with these regulations. Currently, anyone from abroad to Vietnam must conduct isolation 14 days. We also do not know until October, this regulation is still no longer valid. Therefore, VFF needs to discuss carefully with them ".
According to the newly announced 2022 World Cup qualifying schedule, the Vietnamese team will meet Malaysia, Indonesia and UAE on October 13, December 11 and December 17 respectively. Currently, Park Hang-seo’s side is leading the table with 11 points after 5 matches.
