Steel defender Nguyen Huu Tuan has agreed to extend the contract with the HCMC club. He will play for the home team Thong Nhat Stadium for 2 more seasons.
Nguyen Huu Tuan is one of the pillars and an indispensable face of the defense of Ho Chi Minh City Club in recent years. With intelligent play and not afraid of collision, Huu Tuan is currently one of the best central defenders in Vietnam. He has been coached by Park Hang-seo in Vietnam NT to prepare for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Asia.
Center-back Huu Tuan, 28, comes from Danang football and plays for Ho Chi Minh City FC on loan since 2011 while playing in the Second Division. In 2013, the Ho Chi Minh City Club bought off the contract of Huu Tuan to let him return to this team so far. According to statistics, Huu Tuan has played for Ho Chi Minh City Club 150 games, including about 77 matches in the V.League playground.
With an additional 2-year extension with Nguyen Huu Tuan, the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Club wants to ensure the future of his pillar, as well as help him be assured to devote all his strength to the team in the near future.
