Duc Chinh sets goal to represent Vietnam for the 2022 World Cup Qualifier
Striker Ha Duc Chinh confirmed that he will try to perform well in 2020 so that he will be called up to play at the national team soon.
“2019 is not a perfect year, because I have too many minor injuries, I often miss games and my performance is not good.
In the V.League 2020, I want to display more impressively, first is to contribute to Danang Club and second is to have the opportunity to serve Vietnam NT,” Duc Chinh told Zing.
V.League 2019 is not a successful one for the striker in the SHB Da Nang shirt, playing as a striker but Duc Chinh has scored only two goals.
He has received many criticisms from his coach Le Huynh Duc about this poor form.
However, Duc Chinh fired 8 goals in U22 shirt at SEA Games, won the title of top scorer and brought the first gold medal in the history for Vietnam.
Duc Chinh played extremely well at the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines.
Before the new season, SHB Da Nang had a big change in its squad when they decided to break up with Do Merlo after many years and bringing rookie Akinade.
Sharing about this new teammate in the attack, Ha Duc Chinh said that both feel good and quite comfortable.
“I think it is good to play alongside Akinade in the offense. This is a good quality player with excellent technique and vision. Akinade has an active range on the pitch.
I prefer to play next to Akinade than when I'm with Do Merlo. Akinade helps me to operate more freely. Meanwhile, Merlo played as the center striker and my task is to play right behind, ” Zing quoted Duc Chinh.
In 2020, Vietnam will have two important campaigns including the World Cup 2022 Qualifier and the AFF Cup.
Duc Chinh is over the age of participation in the youth tournaments, and if he wants to play in the national team, the 23-year-old will surely need to improve himself.
