Commentator Quang Huy: 'Hanoi FC is difficult to defend the V.League championship'
Commentator Vu Quang Huy has commented on the competition for the V.League 2020 championship after following the first two rounds of the new season.
The first two rounds of the V.League 2020 witnessed exciting matches with many goals scored. Strong teams and championship candidates still show their bravery.
The most impressive is probably HCM FC City won all 6 points after 2 victories against Quang Nam and Thanh Hoa. Besides, with the additions of quality, Viettel and HAGL also showed their progress when they were in the top 4 in the V.League 2020 rankings.
The most surprising is probably the performance of defending champion FC Hanoi. Right in the second round, Chu Dinh Nghiem had to receive the first defeat this season after losing to Than Quang Ninh with a score of 1-3.
The absence of defensive pillars such as Dinh Trong, Duy Manh, or Thanh Chung makes the capital team no longer have the certainty of previous seasons. This made fans doubtful about the ability to defend the championship of Hanoi FC at the V.League 2020.
Sharing views on this issue, Quang Huy said: "Hanoi FC will maintain its strength for many years. This is a team with good investment and progress over time. As a team with the big team, the young players put it up to be easy to grow in. Besides, they have satellites, clubs to lend players and then when they grow up, they come back.
However, this season Hanoi FC will face more fierce competition. Last season, only Ho Chi Minh City was able to compete with them, now there will be more Than Quang Ninh, Viettel or some other teams will also participate in this war. Hanoi FC may still be the top team in Vietnam, but to win again is not easy at all. "
Although there are still talented players such as Van Quyet, Hung Dung, Quang Hai, Duc Huy in the squad, Hanoi FC will certainly have to make more efforts if it wants to go into the history of Vietnamese football, after becoming the first team to win the V.League for the third time in a row.
