Coach Chung Hae Seong revealed the reason to return to the HCMC club
Because of his players and unfinished work, Coach Chung Hae-seong decided to return to lead the HCMC club in the V-League 2020.
After 2 weeks, coach Chung Hae-seong officially returned to lead the Ho Chi Minh club for the rest of the V-League 2020. This made the fans extremely surprised.
Sharing with the media about this special decision, the Korean strategist said: “I'm back for my players. Even the players from the other team texted me to return.
Finally, the leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Club contacted me again. We came to an agreement, erasing everything that happened in the past 2 weeks. Leadership told to support me and make me feel comfortable again. Today is our new page, I cannot clearly share the terms with the Ho Chi Minh City Club, but in the spirit it is comfortable to return to work ”.
Before that, one of the reasons that coach Chung Hae-seong broke up with the Ho Chi Minh club was because the team leaders intervened too deeply in the training. However, things seem to have been resolved at this reunion.
"I want to share the view that the leaders of the team should trust and give decisions to the head coach. Because when the team does not have good results or there is any problem, the coach will be at fault. Not being decided at all, having to listen to one or the other is not a head coach.
Just trust the head coach, let head coach do his best, if the results are not satisfactory, the two sides will split up without any problems or contradictions. I know how my health is, I just want to be the head coach whether in Korea or Vietnam."
Besides, Chung Hae-seong also revealed his goals and the HCMC club in the near future:
"Right now, my goal is to get the players’ spirit back. For the past 2 weeks, the team has been mentally difficult and I have to deal with this for the players.
Winning the championship isn't easy, but I tell the leadership we are determined to achieve it. My goal with my players is always to be at the top. We are all professionals, we cannot set a relegation target ".
