Coach Chung Hae-seong disappointed by the referee's decision
Coach Chung Hae-seong was very disappointed when the referees repeatedly made adverse decisions for Ho Chi Minh City in the confrontation with Hanoi FC in the 11th round of V-League 2020.
The focal match of the 11th round of V-League 2020 between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City was as exciting and fierce as the fans expected. The players of the two teams competed with determination and devoted a lot of beautiful balls to the audience.
However, the victory belongs only to the team that takes advantage of better opportunities and in this confrontation, Hanoi FC did better. Three goals from Truong Van Thai Quy, Thanh Chung and Rimario helped the defending champion win all 3 points from Ho Chi Minh City on Thong Nhat Stadium.
However, Hanoi FC's victory will cause a lot of controversy when in the first half, the referee responsible for this match missed at least 2 penalties for the home team. This made coach Chung Hae-seong extremely disappointed. Speaking after the match, the Korean strategist said:
"If we score first, we can win but we can lose. We cannot say anything in football. But today, I want to talk about the referee. I review the situations in the dressing room. In the yard, did the referee work? Situations that were too obvious but didn’t blow the whistle.
If I were a referee today, I would not dare to do my job. Why? I have to be shy. Today there are 20,000 spectators and reporters. But what about the end today? He was normal, no problem. 20,000 viewers bought tickets and that was what they recieved.”
Besides, coach Chung Hae-deong felt sorry that his players performed very well but did not receive worthy results.
"I want to say once again, we lost not because of the referee. I just shared the referee is part of football, and this affects today's game a lot.
I'm very sad, because the players kicked with double, triple strength. I want you (reporters) to rate them. We lost, but we played well. But when the referee forced me like this, how could I meet my playerss and remind them of the better match? I can not meet and do not want to meet. I do not know what to say".
With this failure, Ho Chi Minh City fell to 5th place with 17 points and allowed Hanoi FC to surpass on the table. The road to the championship of Chung Hae-seong’s side will still have a lot of hardships ahead.
